What it's like to be an Apprentice at ROC
It’s National Apprenticeship Week: a celebration which highlights the benefits apprenticeships bring to employers and the opportunities they present to individuals.
It’s a real job, with hands-on experience, a salary and the chance to train while you work. You’re treated just like all the other employees, with a contract of employment and holiday leave.
Tyler Austin, Year 4 Apprentice, shares his thoughts about his apprenticeship with ROC:
“Throughout my time as an apprentice with ROC, I’ve always been well looked after by all the members of the team and thoroughly enjoy working here.
ROC have provided me with all the experience and skills I need to successfully complete my apprenticeship and gain the qualifications I need, including additional training courses where required. Most recently, I have passed my City & Guilds 2391-52 Testing Course.
I feel I’ve been given the best opportunities to develop and excel in my career as an electrician, and look forward to continuing my time with ROC.”
As a part of ROC’s commitment to personnel and skill development, we are always looking to add to our fantastic team of apprentices.
